About LE LAN

Hi, I’m Le Lan. Every teacup, vase, and incense holder you see here is handmade by me in my Vancouver studio. I use traditional Asian pottery techniques and modern craftsmanship to create one-of-a-kind pieces that tell a story. No two are ever the same—just like art should be.

Le Lan is a ceramic artist whose work bridges tradition and modernity. Born on the borders of China and Vietnam, he began his ceramics journey in 2017, later training under master ceramicists in Jingdezhen, China. His practice is rooted in classic techniques, working primarily with porcelain to create pieces that reflect historical craftsmanship while exploring contemporary aesthetics. Producing under Le Lan Studio, his work embodies precision, form, and cultural storytelling. In addition to his own artistic practice, he founded One Percent Studio, a dedicated space for teaching traditional ceramic techniques, ensuring that time-honored skills continue to thrive. With a deep respect for the past and a vision for the future, Le Lan crafts ceramics that connect heritage with modern expression, offering collectors and students a window into the evolving world of porcelain artistry.
